Austin City Limits is thrilled to welcome Maggie Rose to the stage for the first time. The acclaimed singer-songwriter’s highly anticipated new album Half Moon arrived August 14th. The collection is a creative high point in Rose’s artistic evolution, pairing the confidence of a seasoned performer with a renewed sense of vulnerability and creative freedom. Written and recorded in collaboration with Lawrence Rothman and Daniel Tashian, Half Moon emerged from a series of intimate writing sessions that yielded songs rich in emotional depth and musical texture. “We’d leave each session with these beautiful, fully conceived demos, and after a few songs it became apparent that something special was happening,” says Rose, who was eight months pregnant at the outset of the album’s creation. Featuring lush string arrangements, warm horn sections, and Rose’s commanding vocals, the album reflects a newly expanded emotional landscape inspired in part by motherhood and personal transformation.
After more than a decade honing her craft and building a devoted following, the Nashville-based artist has emerged as one of Americana’s most celebrated voices. Rose earned back-to-back Grammy nominations for her acclaimed 2024 album No One Gets Out Alive and her 2025 collaboration with Grace Potter, “Poison In My Well,” and received an Emerging Act of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association in 2025. Rolling Stone named No One Gets Out Alive one of the 100 Best Albums of 2024, while Variety hailed Rose as “a queen among Nashville singers.” A dynamic live performer, Rose has shared stages with Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Heart, and Molly Tuttle, among many others. A fixture of the Nashville music community, she has made more than 100 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and hosts the acclaimed podcast Salute the Songbird, featuring candid conversations with some of her musical heroes.
Austin City Limits announces the broadcast lineup for its landmark Season 52, premiering this September on PBS. For the first time in the series’ more than 50-year history, every artist featured during the season will receive a full-hour broadcast episode, marking a major expansion for the longest-running music series in television history. Austin City Limits airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings), with full episodes available to stream free on the PBS App and PBS.org.
Since its debut in 1974, Austin City Limits has showcased hundreds of legendary performances, with many episodes featuring two artists sharing a single hour. Beginning with Season 52, each artist will take center stage in a dedicated hour-long episode, allowing viewers to experience more complete performances than ever before.
Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen perform “I’m a Goin’ Nowhere,” live from Austin City Limits TV, with a surprise cover of “London Homesick Blues,” to bring it home. “London Homesick Blues” by Gary P. Nunn served on and off as the theme song for Austin City Limits for nearly 30 years. Ryan Bingham’s Season 52 episode will premiere in early 2027.
“Season 52 represents an exciting new chapter for Austin City Limits,” said ACL Executive Producer Terry Lickona. “Austin City Limits has always been about giving artists a stage where the music comes first and giving audiences the opportunity to discover great artists and experience unforgettable performances. Expanding every episode to a full hour gives each artist the space to tell their complete story, and it gives our audience the chance to experience them the way they were meant to be seen and heard.”
The expanded season, featuring five additional installments for a total of eighteen, arrives at a pivotal moment in the series’ history. Following the elimination of federal funding in 2025 for Austin PBS—the home of Austin City Limits—Season 52 also marks the first season produced entirely through community support. As the landscape for televised live music continues to shrink, Austin City Limits remains one of the few national platforms dedicated to presenting artists through uninterrupted, full-length performances.

Few artists in contemporary Latin music balance global pop ambition with emotional intimacy as effortlessly as Sebastián Yatra. The Latin Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated Colombian-American singer-songwriter has become one of the defining voices of modern Latin pop, blending romantic balladry, reggaeton rhythms, and melodic storytelling into songs that resonate with audiences worldwide. With more than 40 billion global streams and a vast international following, Yatra has built a career marked by sincerity, versatility, and an instinct for timeless pop songwriting.
Born in Medellín and raised in Miami, Yatra broke through at just 19 with the 2013 hit “El Psicólogo,” quickly establishing himself as a rising star across Latin America. Global recognition soon followed with the smash single “Traicionera,” launching a string of hits and setting the stage for his 2018 debut album Mantra, which topped Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart and featured the acclaimed collaboration “Robarte un Beso” with Colombian icon Carlos Vives. His sophomore album Fantasía (2019) showcased Yatra’s gift for romantic pop songwriting and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album.
In 2022, Yatra reached new creative heights with Dharma, a chart-topping album featuring collaborations with Daddy Yankee, Rauw Alejandro, and Aitana. The project earned him two Latin Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Song for the global hit “Tacones Rojos.”
Yatra’s artistry has also extended beyond the recording studio. His performance of “Dos Oruguitas” from Disney blockbuster Encanto earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song and made history as Yatra performed the Spanish-language song live at the Oscars. In 2024, he expanded into acting with a celebrated turn as Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago. A charismatic and magnetic artist, Yatra has landed on the covers of international editions of Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, ELLE and Rolling Stone.
His fourth studio album Milagro (Miracle), delivered a trio of standouts—“Los Domingos,” “2AM,” and “La Pelirroja”—with each song designed to reflect a different emotional “miracle.” As an in-demand collaborator, Yatra continues to explore new musical terrain alongside acclaimed Latin artists in recent releases including, “Canción para Regresar,” “LA FKN VIBRA,” and “Cucaracheo,” reaffirming his place as one of Latin music’s most expansive and globally influential artists.
