Iconic television music series Austin City Limits is thrilled to present a worldwide livestream event featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter S.G. Goodman taking the stage on Tuesday, May 26 with highlights from her celebrated Planting By the Signs.
The full-set performance will be livestreamed worldwide on Tuesday, May 26, offering fans everywhere the chance to experience the American original’s taping direct from Austin, Texas. Fans around the world can tune in live and free on May 26 at YouTube.com/AustinCityLimitsTV and beginning promptly at 9pm ET/8pm CT. The livestream will feature the complete concert in real time, available exclusively during the live broadcast. S.G. Goodman recently announced (Re) Planting by the Signs, a deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed album Planting by the Signs (Slough Water Records / Thirty Tigers). The collection expands the original record with five additional tracks: a new intro based on Goodman’s live show; a homespun cover of the title track by Senora May and Tyler Childers; Dan Reeder’s whimsical take on “I’m in Love”; Goodman’s excellent cover of “Pepper” by the Butthole Surfers; and an electrifying new interpretation of “Heat Lightning.”
Recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the original album finds the Kentucky-born artist exploring grief, love, and reconciliation through the lens of the ancient Appalachian tradition of planting by the signs. Composed of eleven songs, Planting by the Signs showcases Goodman’s singular voice and her signature blend of vulnerable folk music and punchy rock ‘n roll, layered with chiming guitars, ethereal atmospherics, and her DIY ethos. Goodman explores timeless traditions while offering a powerful reminder of humanity’s enduring connection to nature—and to one another.
