The Steve Miller Band
Legendary rock guitarist Steve Miller and his band have been inspiring fans for more than four decades with Miller’s unique brand of rousing American rock ‘n’ roll. His catalog includes 17 studio albums and multiple hit singles including “The Joker,” “Take The Money and Run,” “Jet Airliner,” “Abracadabra” and more.
In 2010, Steve Miller Band released their first new studio album in 17 years. Recently nominated for best Rock Blues Album of the Year by The Blues Foundation, Bingo! “mines Miller’s varied influences” (Billboard) to transform “classic rhythm and blues songs into noteworthy rock bits spiced with tracks of Latin percussion” (Vintage Guitar).
Later this year, Steve Miller Band will release a second blues rock album, Let Your Hair Down. The new release also features the late Norton Buffalo on harp, harmonies and percussion. Buffalo, who had his own episode of Austin City Limits in 1979, performed with Steve Miller for more than 33 years before his death from lung cancer in 2009.
The band’s work on Bingo! and Let Your Hair Down proves that Steve Miller is a legend that still knows how to make catchy, blues-inspired rock that will resonate with fans for years to come. “Call him the Joker, Maurice or the Space Cowboy, the man can still make music with rootsy integrity and genuine joy” wrote The Oklahoman.
